My Dear Mother & All:

Recieved your letter Aug 5th & sure pleased to hear that you are having a good time. I am rather surprise to hear that Bill Love has visited home again but I suppose the poor fellow still has hopes. So Wilf has made a hit & I judge from what you say he made a good one. Ask him for me what he's going to do about the correspondence. If he doesn't write any oftener than he does to me it is likely not to last long.

Just arrived back to my battalion from a rest camp & I believe I told you in my last that I sure enjoyed myself & had a perfect rest.

Have have almost a steady rain yesterday & today & of course it is rather slushy. Please don't judge, that photo I sent, to harshly as I explained it was taken in a hurry I could not have another taken as I did not get those until I was leaving. Hoping this finds all enjoying the best of health.

Your Loving Son
