Dear Mother & Father

Just a line hoping to find you quite well as it leaves us at present received your welcome letter they seem to have com all at once that because they don't have to go to Shornecliffe that were the delay was. I meant to have told you the last time I wrote that I had a letter from Joe Ralph about three weeks ago & he was calling me about the [?] he got he was surprised to hear I was at the front. Well we have had it pretty well just lately had lots of mud to put up with. Had a parcel & letter from Annie last week & had a letter from Beat to say she was not going to Fringinghoe as Tommy had hurt his knees she would not go for a few weeks. Have you sent those cigarettes yet as we have not received them yet. Have been out of trenches for a few days rest but go back again on Wen Annie wrote & told us that Bid & George had arrived in Shornecliffe hope they get leave they are in the same batt as we were when we was there. Hope you have had no more trouble over the money. Tell Dolly we cannot send no views of France over or we might just as well tell you were we are & that what we are not allowed to those fancy cards are the only ones we can send & we will send those now and again. hope she is still at work & earning good money the same with Elvin. How is Elvin West getting on have you heard has he been up home lately. Well Dear Mother & Father I think this is all I have to to say this time except Annie put a couple of apples in her parcel first I have had for4 a long time so you can bet they went down alright so I will close this letter
