My Own Dear Kitty,

Here I am laying in hospital, with a nice little amu[?] in the shoulder. It's shell have like just a wee note as I am getting the Chaplin to write it for me. Now don't go worrying about me as I'm getting along fine & hope soon to be in England to see you all again.

I received your parcel just before I went into the line I enjoyed its contents very much especially Ma's wee dumpling.

The Balling was [?……] was altogether to large. I will write you a letter as soon as I get a firm current address as at prevent I am [?] at any time. My dearest could you kindly send me a shilling worth of stamps so that I can write you when I get to England.. I am very comfortable with the doctors and nurses and feel good [?] telling the chaplain who's writing this for me.
