Cap't & Colin went down town. The rest of us took the horses over a mile to water. Had fresh beef for dinner. Had some drill in the afternoon. Andy Grey that we left in Liverpool May 10 arrived here all well again. Was a guard from 8 to 10 P.M. Got up at 7 A.M. Wrote to Ross's. Turned horses out to pasture. Colin made a Corporal. Heard the Jenkins was killed and Cap't Donald MacLean Howard & Hobson were missing. Had a swell supper, Bread , Cheese, pears, Raspberry and Strawberry Jam and Tea.
