Dear Mary & Kiddies.

I hope you will all be feeling fine by the time you receive this. I have been able to march every day up to hill (59) nickname it is one longe clime. one gets very sticky we do not know just when we will leave here will not get our mail untill we do go in the line it is best to learn all we can here first. I have had a time breaking a new pair of shoes have to put lots of papers in them. the papers are not very good just now different from what they should be. these countrys are not what they aut[?] to be I have lots of dreams of you Mary Bruce & Fred & Father was down town got a pair of gloves had a good ride supper went to a good show
