Dear Em

Just a line as the mail closes in a few minutes.

We have had exams all week and fully hard ones too. Just heard results yesterday eve and was one of the fortunate ones. It is better to be born lucky than rich isn't it?

There were quite a number of failures this time, and they are certainly making the exams stiff I am very lucky to make it at all.

I have six days leave now; so will spend a day or two in town before going down to Folkestone. I hope to see Alfred on Sunday, that is if he is still there.

I have to report to Oxford again on Thursday and await my posting to an Aerodrome. Then I have some hard flying to do and then my wings. I imagine the hard part is over, at least all the plugging.

You had better write to Mr. Reades home until I know where I will be. At present I haven't the least idea.

Lots of love for Father, Mother, and self and kindest regards to Miss Smith.

Loving Bro
Wilbert
