Dear Mother.

I am writing this to you from the hospital. Johnny & I are both in here as of today. Jack has a touch of the flu & I went swimming this afternoon & dove off the board & hit my head on the bottom. It's not cut bad, but they put me in bed on a liquid diete. Dont ask me why, I don't know. I know I am very hungry.

It's to bad I didn't get down this week-end. They took my 36 hr pass away from me because I flunked my morse test Thur. I have been solid on my morse all week but I had a headache at the time and I couldn't take morse attall. I doing pretty good on all my subjects so farr. We have so much to learn & it's all so complicated. Gloria said Fred would be down in a couple of weeks. I sure hope I can get down to see him.

Well I'll say goodbye now as my neck is rather sore trying to write. Hoping to here from you soon.

Yours Sincerely

Norm.
