Dear Father

Just a few lines to let you know I am getting along well and hope you are the same. I received the pad you sent me and it comes in very handy. I had a letter from Mother about a week ago but as it was written in March it was pretty old news.

I have been getting up during the last few days and am getting quite strong again. My wound does not bother me any, but it will be a few weeks before it is properly healed. However it will not prevent me from having as good a time as possible. How is everything this year on P.E.I. I cant tell you much about this place as it is in the middle of London and there is not much to see unless one gets outside. Well this is all for the present.

Goodbye

Charlie
