Dear Mother

Just a few lines to let you know I am well and hope you are the same. We are in the trenches and are having lovely weather. I suppose you are about through with the harvest by now. The other day I met a fellow from Ch'Town be is a Stretcher Bearer here and when I get a chance I am going over to the Artillery to see some of the old fellows who belonged to No 2 Co'y. I got 3 bundles of papers about a week ago and was very pleased to get them. I wrote a letter to Charlie Bouger but so far have not had an answer. It takes about 3 weeks for a letter to come from Vancouver.

Well as usual there is nothing to write or rather there is some I could write but it would be no use doing so as the censor has a very wicked look.

Hoping to hear from you soon

Charlie
