Dear Mother:- Well we arrived safe and sound In camp yesterday at noon had a good lunch which the Clinton ladies put up for supper we got 2 slices of bread and some halfcooked beef and a cup of water for breakfast some oatmeal mush without milk or sugar tell Lloyd it would not agree with him. We darned near froze last night we had two blankets and a water-proof sheet to sleep on but It was not draughty. there is six in our tent Jackson. Will Veal. McFalls. Bruce Mathews a Clinton boy and myself. the Exeter boys are in a row of tents all to-gether. I was down town last night. was into see Uncle Alden they are well. When we came from Clinton we did not stop exept to take water at Exeter We had two specials one following the other well we have to go to work soon so I guess I'll close my Adress you will find on the back of this page
