Dear Mother & Dad-

I wrote a Post Card [?] Kamloops [?] the train left before I could mail it. Well I had better start from the beginning and tell the whole news.

We had a great send off from Victoria I didn't know that I knew so many people I think I saw everybody that came to see me off. I was afraid that I was going to miss Dad but luckily managed to find him. I got a pair of socks from Miss Watson, a tin of [?] from Miss [?] and [?] [?] packages of cigarettes so I [?] [?] [?] [?] [?] [?] [?]. [?] had a fine trip coming over on the boat. [?] Jack Jameson [?] I got a [?] between us and had a good rest. When we got to Vancouver there were quite a few waiting at the dock. I managed to see Francis [?] and [?] [?] as soon as [?] and again just as I was getting on the train I also saw two other people from Victoria [?] [?] We left Vancouver about 9 p.m, about 500 alltogether including about 250 [?] and 86 artillery from Victoria and about 150 artillery from Vancouver in 13 cars (my lucky number again) I had a good nights sleep last night and a good meal this morning also a good meal on the boat last night also the [?] [?] [?][?].

We have had swell weather right along so far. where we are [?] now there is quite a lot of snow on the ground the [?] has been swell most of the time we have been travelling along the Fraser [?].
We are just coming to [?] so I will have to close so that I can mail this I didn't have a chance at all to write from Vancouver, but I wrote as soon as I could.

Well so long folks for this time I only wish you were having as good a time as I am having.
Your loving son

Hope you can read this writing

It's hard writing with [?] [?]
