Calgary Alberta May 25th

Dear Mother:

We have just Passed the Rockies and are in Alberta I am writing this letter on the train and it is no easy job. we enjoyed the trip so far we had a breakdown just this side of North bend and we lost a couple of hours I guess we had a Puncture. We sure are enjoying life they give us the best of grub too, where we passed Banff we saw the Hotel but it was about a mile down a branch line tell the girls we saw lots of deer & Buffaloes in Banff Park we passed the great Divide about 7.A.M. this morning. We are just passing the biggest horse ranch in Alberta there is thousands of horses and colts all around here. the boys are having some fun trying to shave on the train Jim just about cut his chin off this morning they are getting ready for a marsh through Calgary we will reach there about 2 P.M. today.

We left Kamloops just 24 hours after we left Victoria. the Rocky Mountain Rangers or the 172 Batt give us some send off at Kamloops Jim said to send back these prints so you can have some more printed. We are on the Praires more or just about.

love and kisses for you and the girls.
