Dearest Laurie

Just a note to let you know everything is O.K. I intended writing to you last night when I was on guard duty but couldn't settle down to it. I'll try and finish this before we leave for nites and I'll write again tomorrow if there is any mail in. It was in the paper that more Canadians had landed so we should be getting some mail this week. Maybe I'll be able to write an interesting letter when we get some more mail.

I've been staying in ever since last week so have written quite a few letters. My eye or rather the cut over my eye is all healed now but I'm staying in like a good fellow anyway. I don't think I'll be going out for the next couple of weeks as I [?] just about I'll my pay and I'm going to pay it back this time. There is no use staying in debt any longer then you have to and I'll have to start saving for my next leave soon. I hope they pay my subsistence allowance for my last leave as that will sure help out a lot. I have a little money owing to me so should have lots to get by on without it.

I shouldn't go telling you that I'm broke all the time as I have money a lot longer than most of the boys. They all say the more you get the more you spend and it just about right. I get less money than most of the boys but always seem to have a little money in my pocket. I'm not broke as yet but so close to it that I might just as well be. Pay day is on Wed. so it won't be long now until we will all have money again. You can't spend any money on the nites so I should have money to spare until next payday. I might go to a show or so but that will be all.

I've been going to ask you to send me some Ronson flints for my lighter for the last month but this is the first time I've remembered it when writing. I'll most likely have run out before they arrive but should be able to bum or borrow one. There is a small chance that they'll have them in stores hare but it sis just a small chance.

So long for now Snooks and take good care of yourself. Don't forget to write airmail once in a while as it is sure fast.

Lots of Love, Hugs and Kisses

Your Loving Husband

Ron

P.S. I Love You.
