Dearest Dad Mother Bro and Sis,
So here I am once more and this I can say something I haven't been able to say for a long time yes, I actually got a letter and also your wire thanks every so much Dad. Mother and the family boy oh boy it was nice to get a swell letter it caused you all plenty of tears I know I can see you all that is what is hurting me the most the tears that, that little injury has caused I did cry a lot when I was reading the letter as I knew very well that when that letter was wrote heart break was right in it. Please don't take things so hard I also want to talk to you all for going to communion that is why I didn't and haven't had any pains what's so ever. Thanks a million times over and over again. Thanks. You all think oh so very much of your Son to much I'm afraid. I'm only doing my duty it is what God wanted and that's the way it shall be I still like the Army and always will and there is a lot more who should as that many more would make the War that much shorter, oh! So very much easier. Well enough of that stuff.
Gees Dad I'm sure glad that we got a nice crop on our farm it will help so very much to pay our house and also things that the family needs. I don't like the idea of you being busy though. I do hope and please take it easy Dad you'll be doing your Son a big favour and the same applies to you Mother Dear and for all the rest of the family as you all mean oh so very much to me words can't tell you how much.
Well I'm running short of paper so once more I thank you for all you've done and please don't any one shed tears from the whole family means the price of the whole world your son who loves you all so very much.
Your bother and Son xxxxxx Buck
