Tuesday, 18th,

Drill is under way, and we now have five horses. The stables used are those of the Exhibition grounds. Lectures and Gunnery is our chief occupation. The officers are, Major E.H. MacDougall, Captain A.C.S. Wainwright, myself, Lieut. E.A. Greene, Lieut. J.M. MacDonell, and Lieut. Arthur Ryerson, attached from the Grenadiers.
