My Dear Jessie:-

Have not heard from you for two weeks, but I suppose they will all come in a bunch after a while; had one from Ken a few days ago.

We have made another little move, about a mile farther up the line. We have been going up to the trench on night working parties; its not bad fun at all; we have a little feed when we come in, a cup of tea and so on which refreshes you quite a bit. We are living in little huts which hold about thirty; they have a steel roof and sheltered inside which makes them quite warm. The weather hear is not much like the weather in Can; we have been having quite warm weather, but is a little chilly today, although the sun is shining bright. Walter Murphy was in to see us this morning, he left England in a draft quite a while before we came across. It seems as though all [?] is scattered over England and France. How is the 246th coming on? Suppose Stan and [?] Day are doing great stunts at recruiting up home; don't imagine they will get many more there. Well I think this is all bye-bye Write often Loving bro Spence
