Dear Mom:

Well, here I am again. This time I'm writing on my bed. My address is changed again. It is #426 Sqdn. now.

Don't worry though, I won't be on a trip for a while yet.

Maybe I will be able to be home for my birthday, who knows. That is only six months away, you know. Would we ever be able to have a party then eh. Got a letter from you yesterday, you asked me what I would do if your hair was white when I came back. Lady I would still feel the same toward you & you certainly know by this time how I feel.

So you had the wrong idea about wet dingy drill eh. Why do you always associate "wet" with drinking??

So they are still welcoming the boys back home eh. Some fun. It would be nice I guess but I would rather slip in by the back road and miss it all. I guess I'm shy. That's too bad about Rita. If she would snap out of it she would be a nice girl. I hope she does. Well I guess that this is another short letter "and" as you say we will have some sore throats when I get home. Well solong for now

Your loving son

Jack
