Dear Mrs. Addison:

I am just writing a short letter to say thanks a million to you & all the people who had anything to do with the real swell Christmas box I have received. To tell the truth it seems rather funny receiving an Xmas parcel so soon. I might say though that I was very pleasantly surprised to receive it. The sweater that was in it has come in quite handy already as the weather hasn’t been what one would exactly call warm around here. I don’t suppose Toronto is escaping any of these cool mornings neither. Or are you being a little lucky.

Well, as short as this letter is it seems to be just about all I can think of now. So, I will close thank you, Mr. Trussler, the staff of Humewood & the Home & School Club & any other people who had a hand in it a million again. Hoping you are all well & wishing you a Merry Christmas

I remain.

Your good friend

Bob Gapp
