Dear Nellie:-

Just a line to let you know that I haven't forgotten you entirely altho' perhaps you will be thinking I'm a poor correspondent. I am doing guard duty today and as I completed my portion of the prescribed task this forenoon I haven't nothing [sic] to worry me until six o'clock when we are relieved.

The 2nd Canadian Motor Machine Gun Brigade has been formed and our company is included in the organization. I am in "E" Battery.

There isn't much to record. The weather continues very warm and dusty. I got some very nice snaps from Mother of the various members of the family. They were good. I can recognize you and mother alright but the others have changed too much since I saw them last.

Well, how are holidays? What about next term? With kindest regards.

Yours

FC
