Dear Mother

Just a few lines in answer to your welcome letter. You said that I must be to busy to write. Well I am pretty busy but not too busy to write to you. I think it has been more neglect than anything else however I will write a bit more often as soon as we get into our new Barracks. I suppose that Gordon has told you that we are going to move soon and we are not sorry for this is sure one bum place here. I was Sergts of the Fire Picquit on tuesday and dropped a bunch of Fire pails on my foot and damaged one of my toes so I can't go on parade for a couple of days We are having a good time here considering the place we are in. We are trying to get a special car on the C.N.R. to take us all home fro Christmas, there are about 300 going to Saskatoon & Prince Albert and Battleford for Christmas that is if we can get passes. The Band is up above our room and they are kicking up such an awful row that I can't think of anything to say. Gordon has written to you and I don't know what he has said and I suppose I will be letting you the same as him. I have a perminent pass to sleep out of Barracks if I want to and Gordon has a pass for every night to 11.30. I had a letter from Muriel and she said that if I was in her class there would be more talking than work done I guess shes about right too I see that Ruth wrote me a line in Gordons letter she is getting on fine at school how is she doing on the Pan-anna. Give my love to Dothery and Pat and Pa. And Best of all to You

I Remain Your Loving Son
