Dear Father

Sorry that I havnt written for so long, but I have been moving around a bit lately and it had been rather inconvenient. Your last two parcels arrived during the last few days, for which many thanks. I will hand the books on when I have read them. I have plenty of soap and tooth powder now so dont trouble to send any more for a couple of months. That tooth powder is the best I have ever used. It is made in Barrow and is far better than Calverts well known prep.

I have just written a couple of letters. One of them to mother, as I hadn't written home for about a week or ten days. I think I thanked you a few days ago for the money which arrived quite safely.

Well news is absolutely nil, so must close. Hope this finds you quite well, as it leaves me.

Your Affectionate Son
George

Excuse brevity and scribble but I am in a bit of a hurry.
