Dear Doris

Just a couple of lines to let you know I am alright. I got a slight wound on the scalp and shoulder but expect to be out of here and away in a couple of days, and will go back and rejoin the battle. Haven't time for anymore as I will have to write to father. Don't worry as I am quite alright Will drop you a line when I leave and you can send my mail to the 29th as usual. It will not wait for me there if I am not back, but I expect to be there in a week at the outside, and I suppose there wont be any harm done if a letter does happen to go astray Well, for a day or two bye bye

Your Loving Brother
George
