Dear Betty;-

Am enclosing a few lines in Bill's. You will know, what kind of weather we are having here since the lads returned - rainy off & on - mostly on since they left - but I am keeping dry & warm so far - it was kind of lonesome after they had gone - I think they had a good time. It would be nice if Shirley could come - but am not expecting her.

Did quite a washing today - but have not got it dry yet. Thanks for the cheque - It was nice to hear your voices over the phone on Monday evening - even though I did have to get out of bed, it cheered me up when I was feeling lonesome.

Tell Ruby she is a good scout & I hope she can stay quite a while longer. Let me know if or when you need me home. Am getting a few fish everyday -though I am not fishing much. The returned men (Legion) are having their picnic here on Sunday.

Billy would tell you all about the camp, etc.

Hope you get this before Saturday.

Love to all

Dad
