FROM: The Quartering Officer. FLAT: 68

TO: All released P.O.W.'s. BED: 8

An endeavor is being made by this Section to make your stay here as pleasant and comfortable as possible.

You will find your bed already made for you - clean linen and blankets. The apartments are equipped with washing facilities and plenty of warm water is available. Some apartments have already been equipped with tables, radios, and writing materials. We maintain up to date records of all personnel passing through this Station, and will gladly advise any information you wish, in connection with relatives, friends, etc.

In return, we ask you to observe the following rules by which this station is governed. In the top right hand corner of this letter is the Flat and Bed we have allotted to you. You can only be located by sleeping in the proper bed. DO NOT MOVE TO ANY OTHER BED WITHOUT ADVISING THIS SECTION. THIS SECTION MUST BE NOTIFIED IN ALL CASES OF: LEAVE, HOSPITAL, TEMPORARY DUTY OR DETACHMENT.

On return from leave, you will be issued with a new bed, and will be required to draw your own bedding from stores. This bedding must be returned to stores on posting home.

By observing the above rules, you will greatly assist us in maintaining correct records, should YOU be required by other friends of Orderly Room.

(S.E. Andrews) Fight Lieutenant,
Quartering Officer
