Dear Mother:

Thanks very much for your letter of February 15th - also second pair of socks which arrived with same mail.

Both pair fit remarkably well - you know the size 11 1/2! I won't say which pair are the best as I don't want you scratching each other's eyes out, but seriously, they are splendid.

Your Christmas gifts haven't arrived yet, so I think they must have been sunk or badly delayed - but I'm still hoping!

Sorry to hear that Dad is not feeling too well - hope it's nothing serious.

Nothing more to say except that we are keeping our eyes open.

Love

Bill
