Received your wire acknowledging my D.S.C. today. (It had been to South Africa and back - thence the speed of delivery).
Harold Thompson sent me a gift of cigarettes which was very thoughtful.
By the way, they have just lifted the ban on Canadians serving with Imperial Forces - so how about it occasionally? You can send me 300 for $1. That is 75 for 25 cents. I pay over here 35 cents equivalent for twenty.
Rather odd being a school teacher in the air at this air fighting school after all I have been through - but I must admit its a good rest from the blitzkrieg.
Did I tell you I stayed with P. Kelly who manages General Electric over here at Christmas. He had a good stock of whiskeys. What do you mean addressing a letter to me without putting DSC after my name? Damn it, I shall refuse to fight again unless you address me properly! (Such insubordination). You wrote from Edmonton so I gather you are hard at work.
