Dear Mother:

No news of importance but we are working fairly hard. _ line! Still I was pleased to be able to talk to you and Dad on the telephone - too me rather by surprise and so we had no speech prepared but better luck next time.

Trust and hope confidential report from Ross and Adelene wasn't too harsh! I think that I used up all food coupons and petrol coupons for the winter months, but that wasn't from lack of trying.

Sorry that I didn't see Ronny or Jean. They must be grand kids.

Have just received a letter from Ronny Thomson who is now back in England. Thanks for the grand time you gave him in Canada. He certainly appreciated it.

Will see you next winter I hope! Promise I'll do nothing but eat and sleep for months.

Love

Bill
