Dearest Bill:

Hi! Guess who? The first three don't count.

What weather we're having. It's rained every day for almost two weeks. Can you imagine that? And you talk about the weather over there. It couldn't be much worse.

Well by the sound of things you've seen practically every picture that's been made. I've seen quite a few movies lately myself. Two that I saw just a couple weeks ago were about the best I've seen. "A Song to Remember" and "Fanny By Gaslight." The first was about the life of Chopin. Gosh it was good. I wouldn't mind seeing it again.

W.G. and I both got a letter from you today. You've been having quite an easy time lately, but I guess it's getting monotonous by now.

Nothing much new at the Gallery. (pardon me, I meant to say the "morgue") I suppose W.G. told you that Nansy Stirrett (the blond girl) is quitting. She's going back to University. And we're getting a few new girls. Can you believe it, they're actually going to enlarge the staff. I can't believe it. God knows what I'll be doing next year. I'm a jack-of-all-trades. But it doesn't get boring, you never do the same thing twice in one day.

I wish you could see John. Gosh he's a cute kid. He's fat as butter. He reminds of Charlottes baby. We have quite a time with him around here.

You tell Len I think I might be able to save half a dance for him when he comes home, but as far as his love goes he is going to need it all for Jessie.

That's all for now.

Loads of love, Hilda.
