Dear Mom-

The holiday have now finished with as folly a time had by the camp as could be expected under existing circumstances. There was lots of beer & we organized a dance in the canteen. I being one of the youngest was at once told I was to take the part of the lady & no amount of arguing could change their minds.

The mail is starting to come through with the Canadians well in the lead of the Limegs & I'm waiting anxious by for my fires.

I have sent 120 marks to you to hold, they are worth $30 & I shall be able to collect this when I get home, so please don't destroy them.

Many happy returns on your coming birthday & may there be many more like it.

Lots of Love-

Nelly
