Dear Mother:-

Rec'd your welcome letter of March 10th on Friday, also a letter from Dad last night which I am enclosing.

I am sorry to hear about Frank Mann. It's hard to think that such a big husky boy should be so delicate.

How is Frank getting along and how does he like the army?

Well time is sure flying. I can hardly realize that I will soon be twenty. We are having first class weather just now, warm and sunny and the mud is pretty well dried up. A couple of the fellows have just returned from Blighty and report an awful lot of damage from the recent storms.

Syd seems to be well and happy and Dad ditto. I have not rec'd any Johnny Canucks yet from you but I have rec'd everything else.

We are getting quite regimental now and are having church parade every Sunday.

Well dear love to all and yourself.

Jack
