Dear Mother:-

Rec'd you very welcome letter of May 30th. We are expecting to go in again tonight so I thought I had better answer it right away. I also had a letter from Miss Lumsden which I am answering.

Well dear Syd is still in hospital and I have a hunch that he must be with Dad's unit altho I have had no word.

Talking about after the war, you will certainly see a bunch of happy boys when the war is finished. Don't you worry a bout Syd, he's O.K. only the winter has pulled him down.

You want to tell Frank to hold onto his Frank to hold onto his job in the quartermaster stores and all will be jake.

I am feeling fine myself. I suppose Arthur's battery will be in England now.

I have not been able to see Dad for some time but I expect he's O.K.

Are Harry & Art still making shells? Where is Art and his wife going to live?

Well dear I hope you'll manage to get to Vancouver this summer. You can draw on me if you are short.

Love to all

Jack
