Dear Father;

Just a few lines to let you know that I am quite well, and to thank you for your parcel which I acknowledge with a field post card. There was no powder preparation in it and I was wondering whether a parcel of yours went astray. The promised second parcel from Malvern hasnt arrived either, but I dont know whether it was ever posted or not I havnt heard whether you managed to get to Malvern for your Xmas Holidays. I suppose you did, and I hope you had a very nice time. Did you manage to get over to [?]?

Just received a Xmas Card from Esther, also one from Mr. & Mrs. T Rollier I want to drop a line home today so must close for the present

Your Loving Son
