Dear Mrs. Loney

I am writing to thank you for your unexpected gifts which arrived quite safely. It was really extremely kind of you to send it and we shall certainly enjoy the very nice things you sent. Jill has written to Patsy so thank her for the sweets but this letter may perhaps arrive first. It has all been a surprise to us I can assure you.

We were very pleased that Ted came to see us and we are looking forward to his next visit and hoping it will be soon. We had a letter from Mrs. Coppens last week and she had been out walking a little, so I am hoping she will soon be quiet well again. But I think she should be careful not to do too much at first. I expect you know that as you have has a similar experience. We all wish you the compliments of the season.

With kind regards

Yours sincerely
F. Brown
