Dear Mother & All:-

Droping you a line to let you know that I am kicking & well. I didn't get a chance to write a letter sooner as I was unable to get paper so I sent wizbangs. I am now down at the first army rest camp & it sure is a rest camp. We only have a lines inspection in the morning & a duck in the sea if we with & the rest of the time we do as we wish. Had my photo taken so will send you one as soon as they are finished.

We are having fine weather & a fine time. I sure I don't know how I come to get rest cam as they don't usually give it to a fellow unless he has been out six months & it is almost as good as leave.

By jove its fine bathing in salt water & I wouldn't mind if they left me here for the Duration.

Well mother I am waiting patiently for a letter for I havnt had one for some time.

Hoping all are well

I remain
Your Loving Son

Roy.
