Dear Boyley: -

You will of course understand this is Sunday again because I most always start off to write you on Sunday. Dad is listening to the news from London - We are pretty sure now that you are among the troopes invading the Italian Islands. because it has been announced Several times that the West Nova Scotia Unit Bridgeport Division was with the other 8 companies - There has been 2 or 3 Glace Bay people notified of their Boys being wounded Siciley. Anyway, I hope you are fortunate enough to escape. I am always expecting some word of you I do hope they Italian people assert themselves enough to drop out and demand peace. - (Monday) Your letter mailed on the 16th of July reached us today the actual date of Writing was torn off by the Censors and if that [?] gets all the Wishes we put on them he's not opening letters now. What good could that do to Remove that. We were all glad to hear of your "Stripe". Dad. says your as high as Hitler now. he was only a Coporal.
