Dear Lorna:

Here is something I want you to do as fast as you possibly can. I want you to ask Mom or Calder or somebody if I had the measles, how long I was sick, what kind they were. This may mean my release on Thursday for home.

The reason for this is because the M.O.s are trying to lift the quarinteen as fast as they can. The guy in the bunk above me had the measles and the doctors aren't taking any chances on me, so they threatened to put all of us they suspect in a hut of their own and keep us for a couple of weeks. I didn't know much about my measles so the M.O. told me to write to my doctor and find out.

Do that as fast as you can
So long
"Tic"
