Dear Niece

I came to Belleville Saturday night was so sorry to hear about your fathers death & extend to you my heart nearest sympathy

your father death you need not morn for, blessed are the dead who die in the Lord It is only a happy realease for him, and it has taken a great care away from you

Louisa and Laura has not been very well all well at our place & would do you a lot of good to go away for for a while

As regards to yours son death It is a hard burden to bear but such is life we Know not what is before us, but we do Know if we put our trust in God he will never foresake us your hope in God to help you and help you to bear life great burden, And I have no dought that you hope to meet him in that better land My dear niece your son is fallen for his Country An his God Look to God for grace and comfort he will surly help you the burden to be bear
