Fine & cool. Rain in evening & turning quite fine but cool.

Road to Mouchy Legache where our new area H.Q. are. Though Caulaincourt, Sentry, Meraucourt, all completely destroyed by the Hun. Caulaincourt has a most beautiful Chateau which is now a heap of rubbish.

I am in orders to command 9 officers and three or four hundred men to carry out some secret building of a Keepsome where in the line so I do not get back out of the forward area yet.

The remainder of the Brigade move back on the night of the 5th. The line is quite passive. Percy has not fired a shot today. The Hun seems to have moved back.
