My dear Gertrude

Just a not after tea as I must get down town before 6 to see about train etc.

Have had another very hurried day - signing forms till 4:30. We nearly were held up owing to no railway warrants being available, but after wasting an hour going all round the camp, I at last found a Battery that could give me sufficient blank forms.

Everything is ready now & I hope to get away by the 5.50 am train to Bruphton so should if things go well be in Doncaster by tomorrow evening & with you by Friday. If you say it is alright for the ceremony on Saturday Ian will probably come with me. I don't know who else is arranging to go but no doubt they will be able to get a morning train on Saturday.

I must get away
so good-bye for the last time per letter
I hope

All my love
Yours
Jack
