Dearest Laurie

Another day has rolled around so here goes another letter. I'm on guard duty at the present time so won't be able to finish this but there is no time like the present to start a letter. I'm beginning to feel sleepy after doing my first two hrs. of duty so maybe I should try to get a little sleep instead of writing this. A person doesn't sleep very good with all their equipment on but as long as I can get forty winks I'll be O.K. for tomorrow.

This morning I was out on a tank shoot being something different from what we have been doing, it was interesting. There was only four of us out to help run things for an anti tank battery. It gave us an idea of what to expect when we go out on a tank shoot. We were late for dinner but the cooks had something saved for us. The only thing about it was that we had to eat in a hurry in order to get out on parade in time.

We are the leading sub section so far in points for the battery but it is hard to beat out the others as there is a little prize for the team with the most hits. It won't be long now until we'll be finished here as far as fireing is concerned.

Another day has gone by since I started this letter. We didn't do so good today at hitting the sleeve but we are still holding a bit of a lead. Maybe today will be our lucky day or rather tomorrow and we will get enough hits to pull ahead of the rest. I'm sure tired today from not getting any sleep last night but the whole sub was on duty last night so maybe that is the reason we didn't do so good today. I'm sure going to sleep the sleep of the just tonight. There is a good picture on tonight though so I'll most likely go over and see it as soon as I finish this. It is sure nice to be able to go to a show.

There was some mail in today but it was all English so there was nothing for me. I wasn't expecting any letters anyway so wasn't disappointed. It doesn't worry one so much now if there isn't any mail in like it used to. The reason I can say that now is that the mail has been coming in so good lately.

So long for now Sweetheart and take good care of yourself. Don't worry about me if the mail doesn't come in like it should.

Lots of Love, Hugs and Kisses

Your Loving Hubby

Ron
