Dear Aunt Edie & Uncle Harry:

This letter will be short and sweet as there's nothing to say no news whats oever, but first let me tell you I sure was pleased to receive your air graph the other day along with one from Aunt Kit & the day before one from the Watkins so I did okay. they took just about a month, I think quicker than by ordinary mail. We haven't any in stock just at present but as soon as we have I'll send you one as it will more than likely to beat this to you.

Was pleased to hear you were both well and can assure you I am same. Well after a lot of going here & there I was finally posted to the above Sqdn a very good one at that & the officers & sgts are a swell bunch we have a good mess, good food & have had plenty of smokes & liquids in stock. I have done a bit of flying once in a Maggie' & a Hurricane but have yet to ex-perience our type, the Kittyhawk. was to have gone up yesterday but the rains came & how. but should do so tomorrow & then after a few hours become operation-al. it doesn't take very long out here.

Yes we were really bogged the last two days, plenty of water but our tent survived it only allowing a slightly damp floor.

Well thats about it, nothing more to say, the scenery is lovely, similar to Iceland bare as blazes, lots of sand (dirt) & shrubs., It's really pleasant driving in the blue talk about bounce, this is a la modè.

Have just cabled Mother & Con., haven't had any forwarded mail as yet but am hoping still. so now will all my love will sign off until next time, bye for now.

loving nephew,
Jack

P/S - Thanking you for sending on my mail. J.
