Colin and Rose appointed policemen. Morris and myself orderlies. Had bath about 5 A.M. Sighted land about 2 P. M. Arrived at St. Vincent . Enter Harbour from west. Town north of Harbour. Mountains all around. Large Island to west of Harbour. Light House at entrance of harbour. Houses principally white . Some with red roofs. Several buildings up the side of the mountain. Sandy ridges in some places with green trees in bunches on them. Yellow sand shows up very plain when you are a long distance out. About 20 large ships in harbour. A British cruiser with yellow smoke stacks & funnels. Naked negroes diving for pennies. Town and harbour look pretty all lit up.
