Wednesday September 20, 1916

Today opened up with the usual morning "soaker." We were taken up by freight lorries to a div bath about 12 miles away. Then best of all we were paid bi-monthly 15 francs ($3.00). So we are able to patronise the ever present and ever welcome "Y." I consider the Y.M. tent to be the most welcome bit of landscape in our neighbourhood.
