Up at 4:30 for stand to until 6:30. Had two hours rest last night but slept a lot through the day. Got hot water and had lunch and shave - first for many days.
Chilly today. - We live in a very deep dug out 30 feet under ground in chalk.
I had a work party of 125, all ranks, digging a new trench forward of our present position. Beautiful night. Ideal conditions for working. Home at 11 PM.
