Feb 18: out drilling as usual when Sergeant-Major came out at 11 o'clock and told us the draft would leave on afternoon boat at 2 o'clock. Everything turned upside down while the draft get their kits packed. By taking special street cars to dock we catch the boat. Fairly rough trip to Vancouver. Met at station by Reg H., Ruth K., Ruth W. and Florence McD [ ? ]. Not allowed off station platform. Stay in train all night.
