Diary

Mar 4-14: on the way across. Ship rolled all the time but not bad at last voyage. Sick as blazes for the first two days. Third night was on submarine guard. Roughest night of voyage. Nearly got washed overboard. Soaked to the hide and nearly frozen. Sick again next morning but pull myself together by night. Rest of trip not so rough and sit on deck in the sunshine most of the day.
