Dear Mr. Irwin,

Received your welcome letter this morning dated 1st March. Very pleased to know you are all well.

Regards myself I am having three months electrical treatment for my legs, but I am trying to get out at the end of the month & rejoin the Battalion in France.  I still walk with a limp but can consider myself very lucky to get off with that. Went up to London & saw Capt Birdsall yesterday & he looks as well as can be expected & he expects to be leaving for Canada this coming week. Yes I have certainly got a few Fritzy’s since I started, & I guess I have had as long a turn as the most of the boys. The old 1st Contingent is pretty well finished now.

I am one of a party delegated to attend Buckingham Palace this week, so have to polish up

Must close with kind regards to all from

Sgt. Walter T. Robus
