Dear Brother,

I am so glad to hear from you and thank you for your welcome letter. I’m glad all is well with you there, and that you had a good fishing season.

I am longing to come back but don’t know just when that will be.

I’m hoping it will be this coming Spring. I’m sure you have heard the good news that the war is over. It is almost too good to believe for many of us who have witnessed hell on earth.

I was again posted to the front line twice. The regiment was short of men because of influenza and causalities so that we were spared. A lot of new men arrived from Canada as replacements.

I must wait now till Spring to come home to Canada. I am doing fine now and people are so friendly here in England.

I had a letter from Paul a day ago and he is feeling much better and is getting well again.

It is getting late and I will close for now, with all my love to you all.

Your Brother,

Ingvald
