Dear Markle

I know I promised to send you those snap-shots last week but I was dreadfully busy and did not get them done. However better late than never, so here they are.

I suppose Argyle will know your address, but he did not mention in his letter which hospital you were back to. I'm afraid your arm is a long way from being right yet, but hope you are not suffering with it.

You  might write a little scribble and let us know how you are getting on.

How do you like this hot weather? I wish it would rain for a few days to freshen things a bit.

We went motoring all day on Sunday to try keeping cool. I was just thinking how you would have enjoyed the scenery on the way. We went away among the hills and right up to the Trossachs and had a most enjoyable day.

Well Markle I'm not writing a long letter this time, as I do want to catch the mail so you can have these things to laugh at on Sunday

Yours sincerely

 J. Peden
