Dearest Mother,

We are sending this little box of our wedding cake, a piece for you & Greta & will you also give Hazel some as it is better sent in a tin than boxes. & hope that you will get it all O.K.

Dearest we hope that you will eat the cake & think kindly of us while doing so & can forgive us for getting married so soon. But I think that if you could see how happy we are together in our little doll’s house down here in Ashford, you sure would. You would laugh at our little home if you could see it, as I did when I first saw it, but it is very clean & comfortable. So with our best Love to all we remain

your affectionate son & daughter

Harold & Florence.
